LEESBURG, Va. – Loudoun United FC announced on Thursday the club had appointed Oliver Gage as its first Director of Soccer. Gage will be responsible for roster management, strategic direction and style of play on the field, as well as overseeing the entire technical staff.

“Today marks an exciting milestone for Loudoun United FC as we officially welcome Oliver Gage to our team as the Director of Soccer. Olly’s appointment represents a significant step forward in our journey towards excellence both on and off the field,” said Greg Baroni, CEO and Managing Partner, Attain Sports and controlling owner of Loudoun United FC. “With Olly at the helm, we are confident that the club is well positioned for success in 2024 and beyond. We extend our warmest congratulations and utmost support as he embarks on this new chapter with us.”

Bringing a wealth of experience from both domestic and international soccer arenas, Gage joins Loudoun United after serving as Director of Football at SixFive Sports where he oversaw football strategy for two Canadian Premier League teams alongside efforts to expand into Europe and form a multi-club network.

With more than a decade of professional technical experience, including as the Head of Analysis and Technical Recruitment with Houston Dynamo FC, and as a technical staff member of the University of Virginia Cavaliers, the 2014 NCAA D1 National Champions, his deep industry knowledge, relationships, and insight will be invaluable to Loudoun United FC.

Gage is known for his unwavering passion for player development and proven track record in navigating the intricacies of elite soccer operations.

“I am thrilled to be returning to the DMV and honored to embark on this new chapter with Loudoun United FC,” said Gage. “I am eager to work alongside the talented individuals within the organization to elevate the club to new heights.
