TULSA, Okla. – FC Tulsa announced on Thursday the club had signed goalkeeper Michael Creek ahead of the 2024 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Creek joins Tulsa having most recently competed for St. Louis CITY SC of Major League Soccer, where he spent the past two seasons in the club’s organization. The 25-year-old initially signed with St. Louis CITY 2 ahead of the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro season and was then signed by the club for its inaugural season in Major League Soccer in 2023.

“Michael Creek is a great addition to our team,” said Tulsa Head Coach Mario Sanchez. “He has gained valuable experience at the professional level through his time with St. Louis CITY SC. He has a great presence in goal to go along with his strong technical ability.”

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Creek made 19 appearances for CITY 2 across the two seasons, spending time on loan with the reserve side in 2023. He recorded three shutouts in the 2022 campaign, and in 2023 posted a 1.38 goals-against average and a save percentage of 62.1 percent on 18 saves in eight appearances.

“I am excited to be with FC Tulsa for this upcoming season,” said Creek. “I can’t wait to get in front of the fans and make some memories.”

Prior to joining the professional ranks, Creek played for Missouri State University and recorded 149 saves and 27 shutouts over four seasons.  Creek was named Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Goalkeeper of the year in 2019 as he helped lead the side into the NCAA Division I Tournament and received All-MVC honors in three of his seasons at MSU.
