TULSA, Okla. - FC Tulsa announced on Thursday the club had signed forward Stefan Stojanovic ahead of the 2024 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Stojanovic joins Tulsa having spent the past two campaigns with the Philadelphia Union II in MLS NEXT Pro. In the 2023 campaign, the 22-year-old recorded 10 goals and two assists in 28 regular season appearances. He has already had an impact in Tulsa’s preseason slate, scoring in each of the club’s first two outings against Oral Roberts University on Saturday and Tulsa Athletic on Wednesday night.

“I’m super excited to be joining FC Tulsa. I am ready to give everything I have and more to help bring success to this team,” said Stojanovic. “I can’t wait to celebrate with all the supporters at ONEOK Field soon.”

Before joining the professional ranks, Stojanovic recorded four goals in 11 appearances across the United States U-20, U-18 and U-16 Men’s National Teams. Collegiately, he competed for St. Louis University and for Georgetown University while also competing for Chicago FC United in USL League Two.

After turning pro with the Union II for the 2022 season, he was selected with the 57th overall pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft by the Philadelphia Union before his second campaign with the Union II.

“Stefan is a great addition to the team. He brings a physical presence to our front line and he has great instincts in front of goal,” said Tulsa Head Coach Mario Sanchez. “Most importantly, he is a winner. He has the hunger and determination to make sure that we return to the playoffs this year!”
