MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC announced on Thursday the club had signed midfielder Alvaro Quezada to a multi-year contract ahead of the 2024 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
“We had Alvaro on trial with us during the season last year. He is solid defensively, good on the ball, and his character is exactly what we are looking for within our group,” said 901 FC Assistant Sporting Director Caleb Patterson Sewell. “We look forward to Alvaro having a strong preseason and pushing for minutes this season.”
Quezada was selected 68th overall in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft by Los Angeles FC out of University of California, Irvine, then joined Las Vegas Lights FC on loan from LAFC for the 2021 and 2022 USL Championship seasons.
The 24-year-old had four goals and six assists in 48 USL Championship appearances over two seasons playing on both the left and right side of midfield, while also spending time at right back.
