IRVINE, Calif. – Orange County SC has announced six additional returnees for the 2024 USL Championship season, with the club signing forward Brian Iloski and midfielders Kevin Partida, Kyle Scott and Seth Casiple to new contracts ahead of the new season.

Orange County also exercised its contract option on forward Thomas Amang, while United States Under-17 international Bryce Jamison remains under contract for the new campaign.

Both Iloski and Casiple return for their fifth seasons with the club, making the duo the longest-tenured players in the squad. Iloski will enter the new campaign having made 96 appearances for OCSC across all competitions, second only to former captain Michael Orzoco (112) for the most appearances in club history, while Casiple ranks with 87 appearances in all competitions.

Casiple will be joined in midfield by Partida, who in his second season with the club led OCSC in interceptions (41) and was second in tackles won (45) at a 73.7 percent success rate, and by Scott, who in his first full season with the club led OCSC with five assists and had a passing accuracy rate of 87 percent on 1,293 attempted passes.

Amang returns after ranking second on the team with 10 goals after his offseason arrival, second only to the departing Milan Iloski, while also recording four assists, 31 shots, 18 shots on target and a strike rate of a goal every 162.7 minutes. Jamison is set for his second full season in OCSC colors in 2024, meanwhile, having recorded two goals and two assists in all competitions this past campaign while also earning a place in the United States’ squad for the FIFA 2023 Men’s U-17 World Cup in November.

Analysis

After last week’s announcement of the returning back line including goalkeeper Colin Shutler and defensive standouts Markus Nakkim and Dillon Powers, Orange County has now added a solid midfield and forward line to its returning squad as it continues to reveal its returnees.

Maybe the most important of these is Kyle Scott, whose ability as a ball progressor and creator saw him lead the team with five assists but also rank fourth on the team with a +4.84 Goals Added mark per American Soccer Analysis. Amang’s continued presences as the club’s No. 9 is also very welcome, and the spotlight will be closely fixed to Bryce Jamison next spring as he aims for a full breakout season after the promise he showed for the club and at the youth national team level this year.
