INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven announced on Friday its first nine returnees for the 2024 USL Championship season, with the club signing free agent defender Callum Chapman-Page after his stint on loan with the club from Miami FC during the past season.
Indy also signed 2023 USL Championship All-League Second Team selection Adrián Diz Pe to a new contract and exercised its contract option on fellow defender Younes Boudadi.
Goalkeeper Yannik Oettl, defender Macauley King, midfielders Jack Blake, Cam Lindley and Aodhan Quinn, and forward Sebastian Guenzatti were previously under contract for the 2024 season.
Analysis
After the club’s return to the postseason this past campaign, Indy Eleven will at minimum return its most important contributors to that success. Re-signed defender Adrian Diz Pe and returning midfielder Cam Lindley were both All-League selections this past campaign, and they were joined by Sebastian Guenzatti (+6.41 G+) and Aodhan Quinn (+5.43 G+) in being Indy’s top four contributors in Goals Added by American Soccer Analysis.
Securing Chapman-Page’s return after his loan spell provides a strong pairing for Head Coach Mark Lowry in front of Yannik Oettl, who put up solid numbers in his first season for the Boys in Blue. Given the club’s ambitions, there will likely be some notable names arriving this offseason, but what the side has in place is an excellent foundation to build around.
