Eight players from the USL Championship and USL League One have been named in Jamaica’s squad for an international exhibition on Saturday night against Guatemala at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. as the Reggae Boyz prepare for their Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinals clash with Canada.

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC will send five players to the squad with midfielders Speedy Williams and Tyreek Magee being joined by forwards Romario Williams, Maalique Foster and Deshane Beckford in the squad. Romario Willams led the Switchbacks with 15 goals this past campaign – equaling his individual single-season high in the Championship – while Magee recorded three goals and two assists in 25 appearances and Beckford had two goals and four assists in 32 appearances.

Jahmali Waite returns to the Reggae Boyz squad after another sterling season with Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in which he recorded 42 saves and 10 saves in the Championship’s regular season and playoffs. Waite has made five appearances for Jamaica previously in his career, establishing himself as a strong understudy to regular starter Andre Blake.

Trayvone Reid will be hoping to make his senior national team debut in his second call-up to the squad in his career. The 23-year-old recorded two goals and 16 shots in 28 appearances for Roots SC this season, his first with the club after signing with Oakland in preseason.

Amal Knight returns to the Jamaica squad after completing Lexington SC’s inaugural season with 79 saves and four shutouts in 24 appearances in the regular season. The 29-year-old has previously made 12 appearances for Jamaica, most recently in the Concacaf Nations League in 2022.
