TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship announced on Friday a change to the kickoff of the 2023 USL Championship Final, which is now scheduled for 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on Sunday, November 12 on ESPN2 and SiriusXM FC.

Four teams remain in contention to claim the Championship title this season, with the Charleston Battery set to play host to Louisville City FC at 7:30 p.m. ET in the Eastern Conference Final before Sacramento Republic FC faces Phoenix Rising FC at 10 p.m. ET in the Western Conference Final. Both games will air live on ESPN+ and local broadcast networks.

Eastern Conference Final

The No. 3 seed Charleston Battery will face No. 5 seed Louisville City FC at Patriots Point with the hosts aiming for their first trip to the USL Championship Final since it claimed the league title in 2012. Under the leadership of Head Coach Ben Pirmann, the Battery have recorded the largest season-on-season turnaround in Championship history with a 34-point increase in their regular season point total. After defeating Indy Eleven and Birmingham Legion FC, the side is among the final four teams for the first time since 2013.

To advance, however, Charleston will have to defeat LouCity for the first time since the 2018 regular season, with the visitors in their ninth consecutive Eastern Conference Final – every season of their history. LouCity has won four Eastern Conference titles previously, including last season, and after recording its widest margin of victory of the season in a 4-0 win last Saturday against Detroit City FC will be aiming to add another trophy to its case.

Western Conference Final

No. 1 seed Sacramento Republic FC will host No. 6 seed Phoenix Rising FC before another expected sellout at Heart Health Park looking to earn its first trip to the Championship Final since winning the league in its inaugural season in 2014. Republic FC defeated defending Championship title holder San Antonio FC 3-1 last Saturday to reach this point and has won 13 of 19 home league games so far this season while posting the best defensive record in the league.

Rising FC, meanwhile, it aiming for its third Western Conference title and its first since the 2020 season, which marked the lone prior postseason meeting between these sides. Phoenix took a 1-0 victory after extra time in that encounter on a goal by Solomon Asante and holds a narrow lead in the all-time series after each side won on home turf this regular season. Having taken victories in extra time on the road against San Diego Loyal SC and Orange County SC in the prior two rounds, Phoenix will be aiming for another successful California road trip against its longtime rival.
