Hartford Athletic parts ways with Head Coach Omid Namazi

Club finished 12th in Eastern Conference, won only twice in 18 games after midseason appointment

HARTFORD, Conn. – Hartford Athletic announced on Tuesday that the club had parted ways with Head Coach Omid Namazi.

“On behalf of Hartford Athletic, I want to thank Omid for his hard work and commitment to the Club,” said Athletic CEO Nick Sakiewicz. “We all wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Namazi was appointed as Hartford’s Head Coach on June 26 having previously served as an assistant coach to Tab Ramod at the club. During his tenure, the Athletic went 2-14-2 to finish in 12th place in the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference.

Hartford announced the club has begun a search for a new Head Coach to lead it into the 2024 USL Championship season.
