No pressure, Sacramento Republic FC, but you’ve got some heavyweight backing this postseason.

Not only is Republic FC the favored pick to lift the trophy at the 2023 USL Championship Final on November 12 by fans in the USL Championship Bracket Challenge presented by Hisense – sitting as the winner of 21 percent of the brackets currently submitted – but it’s also been backed by all four of our guest pickers entering the postseason on Saturday.

Your favorite former United States Men’s National Team player Jimmy Conrad – who now is not only a top media personality but also the Technical Director at USL League Two club San Francisco Glens FC – has Republic FC coming out on top against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in the Championship Final. The big prediction from Conrad’s bracket? That No. 6 seed Indy Eleven is going to make a run to the Eastern Conference Final before falling to the Hounds, upsetting the Charleston Battery and Tampa Bay Rowdies on the way.

Conrad’s former United States Men’s National Team colleague Herculez Gomez – now the co-host of ESPN’s Futbol Americas and Ahora y Nunca and the Vamos! Podcast – also had Republic FC over the Hounds for the title when he made his picks on Thursday night's edition of Futbol Americas. There’s more chalk in Gomez’s bracket, but both he and Conrad have San Diego Loyal SC advancing to the Western Conference Final before being eliminated.

Our friends from Backheeled.com, Joe Lowery and John “USL Tactics” Morrissey also have Republic FC lifting the trophy, but against different opponents. For Lowery, the Tampa Bay Rowdies will be the opponent for Sacramento, while he also sees some notable Conference Quarterfinal upsets with El Paso Locomotive FC advancing past Orange County SC, and both Louisville City FC and Indy Eleven advancing past Memphis 901 FC and the Charleston Battery, respectively.

For Morrissey, it’s Republic FC over the Hounds, and he also sees LouCity and Indy advancing into the Conference Semifinals in the East. Out West, Morrisey is the lone member of our experts that sees defending Championship title holders San Antonio FC being eliminated at the first hurdle, with Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC his pick to spring the upset at Toyota Field.
