The USL Championship passed 1,000 goals for the 2023 season last Wednesday night, while the weekend delivered another collection of outstanding long-range finishes and a brilliant piece of improvisation that highlighted a busy run of games. Here are the four tallies we’ve somehow picked out as nominees for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week, make sure to cast your vote for your favorite nominee across multiple platforms, including through the official USL App.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week – Week 30

Joaquin Rivas (MIA) - #MIAvHFD, 9/30/23: The El Salvador international sealed Miami FC’s victory against Hartford Athletic on Saturday night with a tremendous strike from almost 30 yards that picked out the bottom-right corner.

Taylor Davila (RGV) - #COSvRGV, 9/30/23: Davila delivered another crucial late-game finish for the Toros as his goal in the 98th minute from beyond 25 yards earned the side a 1-1 draw on the road at Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.

Johnny Rodriguez (OAK) - #OAKvSA, 9/30/23: Rodriguez produced a remarkable piece of improvisation on a spinning pass into the penalty area, putting home a spinning finish with the outside of his right foot into the left corner of the net.

Emil Cuello (PHX) - #PHXvOC, 9/30/23: The Argentine struck home a brilliant long-range strike from the right channel to the top-left corner of the net to secure a point for Phoenix Rising FC against Orange County SC and a place in the 2023 USL Championship Playoffs.
