INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven announced on Friday the club had acquired midfielder Braxton Taghvai-Najib on loan from Inter Miami CFC II of MLS NEXT Pro. Per club policy, terms of the agreement will not be disclosed.
Taghvai-Najib will be available for selection in Indy’s contest on Sunday against Rio Grande Valley FC. He will not be eligible for the USL Championship Playoffs, with only four potential appearances available to close the regular season, fewer than the five required by loanees to compete in the postseason.
The 20-year-old joined Inter Miami CF II prior to the 2021 season and has made 53 appearances for the club over the past three seasons. This year he recorded one assist in 10 appearances while posting a passing accuracy rate of 82.8 percent.
Prior to joining IMCF II, Taghvai-Najib had joined the professional ranks with Birmingham Legion FC of the USL Championship during the abbreviated 2020 campaign. With Legion FC he made six appearances, all as a substitute, logging 23 minutes of action.
