Clutch stops featured in crucial moments for clubs with playoff aspirations, who gets your vote?

As the race for the USL Championship Playoffs continued to build, some of the league’s goalkeepers put in standout performances and made some outstanding saves to help earn their sides results in Week 28’s action. Here are the stops we’ve selected as nominees for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week, and it’s up to you to vote for the winner here on the web, on the league social media feeds, and in the USL App.

Voting runs through Friday, September 15 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 27

Ryan Shellow (DET) - #DETvMIA, 9/9/23: Stepping in for his first appearance of the season, Shellow made a superb one-handed stop to keep Le Rouge ahead as he denied Christian Sorto from 12 yards at Keyworth Stadium.

Carlos Herrera (MB) - #MEMvMB, 9/9/23: The Team of the Week selection posted a seven-save shutout in Memphis, including this brilliant stop to keep out a first-time strike by Memphis 901 FC’s Luiz Fernando at AutoZone Park.

Christian Herrera (COS) - #COSvSA, 9/9/23: Making his first appearance since mid-July, Herrera made an outstanding double-save to keep out San Antonio FC leading scorer Tani Oluwaseyi from close range at Weidner Field.

Matt VanOekel (BHM) - #BHMvNM, 9/10/23: The veteran shot-stopper posted a four-save shutout against New Mexico including an outstanding close-range stop on United’s Josh Suggs to help preserve a key victory.
