Week 22 of the USL Championship’s regular season kicks off with a Wednesday matinee as Loudoun United FC hosts Memphis 901 FC with both teams looking to snap lengthy winless runs after United claimed victory early in the season at AutoZone Park.

Here's a look ahead at the action.

Loudoun United FC vs. Memphis 901 FC

Venue: Segra Field
Kickoff: 11 a.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Memphis 901 FC will try to get its season back on track as it heads to face Loudoun United for a matinee that coincides with United’s camp day for local students. Loudoun (6-15-2, 20pts) suffered a 2-1 defeat to Miami FC on Saturday night in its most recent outing, a result that stretched its current winless streak to four games, but the side has slid to 11th place in the Eastern Conference with only one win in its last eight games overall. Sitting five points outside the playoff positions with 11 games to play, the hosts will want a repeat of the 3-1 victory they took on the opening weekend of the regular season that saw Zach Ryan score twice for the side. Memphis (8-6-6, 30pts) is winless in its last six games, meanwhile, having capped July with a 4-2 defeat against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at Highmark Stadium. 901 FC took a two-goal lead through finishes by Luis Fernando and Rodrigo Da Costa before conceding four consecutive goals to their hosts. It marked the second consecutive game in which Memphis let a two-goal lead slip and conceded four goals, with the side allowing 20 goals in six games over the course of July. Still in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, however, Memphis will be hoping to find a turnaround at a key point of its season.

Spotlight Players
Loudoun United FC – Tommy Williamson:
The forward scored the first goal of the 2023 Championship season when United took victory in Memphis in March and has notched four goals and two assists overall this campaign.

Memphis 901 FC – Rodrigo Da Costa: The Brazilian has been a bright spot in Memphis’ recent downturn in form, recording two goals and one assist in the past three games, a streak he’ll be looking to continue on Wednesday.
