Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will return to Highmark Stadium to host Indy Eleven aiming to defend the last undefeated home record in the USL Championship this season, while a three-game slate concludes out west as Sacramento Republic FC hosts Phoenix Rising FC aiming to break a recent downturn in form.

Here's a look ahead at all the action.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC vs. Indy Eleven

Venue: Highmark Stadium
Kickoff: 7 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will try to rebound from its first setback since April when it plays host to Indy Eleven, with the visitors in need of a victory to return above the playoff line in the Eastern Conference. The Hounds (10-3-8, 38pts) saw a 13-game undefeated streak in league play end on Saturday night in a 3-1 defeat to the Charleston Battery as DZ Harmon’s first goal for the club in the second half proved only a consolation for the visitors at Patriots Point. Pittsburgh is undefeated at Highmark Stadium this season (7-0-3) and is on a four-game undefeated streak against the Boys in Blue after the sides played to a 1-1 draw when they met at Michael A. Carroll earlier this season. Indy (5-7-7, 22pts) dropped to ninth place in the East on Saturday night, meanwhile, after a 0-0 draw against the Tampa Bay Rowdies at The Mike extended its winless streak to four games. The contest saw midfielder Aodhan Quinn become the all-time leader in regular season minutes in the USL Championship, but now the side’s focus will be on taking advantage of three games in hand on eighth-placed Detroit City FC as the side looks for a first postseason trip since the 2019 season. The Boys in Blue have had more success away from home this season than on their home turf, however, taking four of their five league wins this season away from home, which could offer hope of a positive outcome this time around.

Spotlight Players
Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC – Albert Dikwa:
The Cameroonian forward is tied for the league-lead with 10 goals this season and scored when these teams met in April, a feat he’ll be hoping to repeat to take the lead in the Golden Boot race.

Indy Eleven – Callum Chapman-Page: The recent arrival from Miami FC made a late appearance as a substitute against Tampa Bay and could be in line for his first start for the Boys in Blue to help shore up a thin back line.

Oakland Roots SC vs. Las Vegas Lights FC

Venue: Pioneer Stadium
Kickoff: 10 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Oakland Roots SC will look to bring its strong recent road form back to Pioneer Stadium as it plays host to Las Vegas Lights FC, which is looking for any kind of spark to its season after a setback on the weekend. Roots SC (8-6-6, 30pts) moved into fourth place in the Western Conference standings on Saturday night as it rallied to claim a 3-1 victory against El Paso Locomotive FC for its second consecutive road win. Goals by Lindo Mfeka and Johnny Rodriguez lifted Oakland into the lead before Anuar Pelaez scored a late insurance goal after coming on as a substitute, with Rodriguez’s goal his team-leading eighth of the season. Oakland hasn’t fared as well at home as on the road this season, however, winning only three times in nine games, and it has also gone winless in its last three meetings with Las Vegas, which took a 2-0 win in its last visit a season ago. Lights FC (1-10-8, 11pts) would dearly love to continue that streak as it tries to break an eight-game winless run in league play that continued in a 2-0 defeat to Hartford Athletic on Saturday. Las Vegas now sits with the fewest points in the Championship this season and with a 17-point gap to the playoff places it may be another season before the postseason finally arrives for Head Coach Isidro Sanchez’s squad.

Spotlight Players
Oakland Roots SC – Bryan Tamacas:
The El Salvador international has put in consecutive positive displays in his side’s past two road wins and could be influential again moving into attack down the right flank.

Las Vegas Lights FC – Andrew Carleton: The former United States youth international recorded a Las Vegas season-high seven shots on Saturday night against Hartford and will want to continue to be a threat in the attacking third.

Sacramento Republic FC vs. Phoenix Rising FC

Venue: Heart Health Park
Kickoff: 11 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Sacramento Republic FC will try to rebound from a setback last time out as it plays host to Phoenix Rising FC in the first meeting between these longtime rivals this season. Republic FC (9-3-8, 35pts) suffered only its third defeat of the campaign on Saturday in a 3-0 defeat on the road at New Mexico United as the side’s injury troubles continued to hinder the side’s progress. Sacramento remained in first place in the Western Conference, however, as results elsewhere went in the side’s favor, and it will now try to add to a three-game undefeated streak at home as it tries to create separation from San Antonio FC (34pts) and El Paso Locomotive FC (32pts). Phoenix (6-5-8, 26pts) will be looking for a repeat performance from its last trip to Heart Health Park, meanwhile, as it took a 1-0 win on its last visit to Sacramento a season ago and should it do so it would return to the playoff positions in the Western Conference. Rising FC dropped to 10th place in the standings on Saturday night after a late goal by Danny Trejo earned a 1-1 draw against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, giving Trejo his eighth goal of the season, but with a win in Sacramento Phoenix could rise as high as sixth place in the standings, an indicator of how tight the race for playoff position currently stands.

Spotlight Players
Sacramento Republic FC – Russell Cicerone:
The creative forward scored a late equalizer in his side’s last home game against Memphis and will want to add to his 10 goals overall this season with a rival for the Golden Boot on the other side of the field.

Phoenix Rising FC – Manuel Arteaga: The Venezuelan forward also enters this contest on 10 goals and provided the assist on Trejo’s goal this past outing to move to four assists on the campaign.
