MIAMI – Miami FC announced on Friday the club had acquired defender Gustavo Rissi on loan from fellow USL Championship club Indy Eleven for the remainder of the 2023 season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

In a corresponding transaction, Miami announced it had sent defender Callum Chapman-Page on loan to Indy Eleven for the remainder of the 2023 campaign.

Rissi has made 11 regular season appearances so far this season for Indy, recording 515 minutes of play while recording seven tackles won, four clearances and one interception. A native of Brazil, Rissi had previously spent three seasons with Austin Bold FC where he recorded 37 appearances in the USL Championship and notched 57 interceptions and 147 clearances while making 175 recoveries defensively.

Last year he joined Rochester NY FC in MLS NEXT Pro, where he helped the side reach the postseason while making 10 appearances and recording one assist.
