Two of the top three sides in the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference will square off on Saturday on a night that could see the league welcome a new all-time leader in regular season minutes at Indy Eleven, while out West both San Antonio FC and New Mexico United will try to build on recent positive tuns of form on home turf in a 10-game slate of action throughout the night.

Here's a look ahead at all the action.

Indy Eleven vs. Tampa Bay Rowdies

Venue: Michael A. Carroll Stadium
Kickoff: 7 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Indy Eleven will look to boost their postseason hopes on a potentially historic night for midfielder Aodhan Quinn as they play host to a Tampa Bay Rowdies side looking to rebound after a setback last time out. Indy (5-7-6, 21pts) is winless in its last three outings after a 1-1 draw against the Charleston Battery in its most recent outing on July 12 in a game that saw Quinn find the net from the penalty spot. Quinn leads Indy with six goals this season, and on Saturday could become the USL Championship’s all-time leader in regular season minutes sitting just 71 minutes behind current record-holder Taylor Mueller. Quinn also found the net when Indy earned a 1-1 draw against the Rowdies on the opening weekend of the regular season with a stoppage-time equalizer, but Tampa Bay (10-5-4, 34pts) is undefeated in its last five meetings with the Boys in Blue dating back to the 2018 season. The Rowdies saw an 11-game undefeated streak come to an end last Saturday night in a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham Legion FC, but the side remains in second place in the Eastern Conference standings with Cal Jennings and JJ Williams leading the attack with eight and seven goals respectively in another strong season for the perennial title contenders.

Spotlight Players
Indy Eleven – Sebastian Guenzatti:
Guenzatti will face his former club for the second time looking to spark his season, with the veteran forward having scored only three league goals in 18 appearances so far this season.

Tampa Bay Rowdies – Conner Antley: The right-sided defender will look to put in a solid display against his former club and has notched three assists so far this campaign in another good all-around campaign.

Charleston Battery vs. Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC

Venue: Patriots Point
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Two of the top three teams in the Eastern Conference will square off as the Charleston Battery try to break Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC’s 13-game undefeated streak and close the gap to the current conference leader. The Battery (9-5-6, 33pts) are undefeated in their past three outings after a 1-1 draw against Miami FC last Saturday night that saw Andrew Booth score a stoppage-time equalizer at Riccardo Silva Stadium and will be hoping to reverse their defeat in Pittsburgh a month ago when Junior Etou scored inside the opening minute to help lead the Hounds to victory. That result was part of Pittsburgh’s current run of form, which stands as the club’s longest undefeated streak in the USL Championship era and the second-longest in the Hounds’ history overall after a 15-game regular-season undefeated streak in 2004. Pittsburgh (10-2-8, 38pts) took a 2-0 victory against Detroit City FC last Saturday night as Edward Kizza and Burke Fahling scored early in either half, with the shutout the fourth in a row for the side. Pittsburgh’s current shutout streak is at 408 minutes as the side sits tied for the fewest goals conceded in the league so far this season, a run the Battery’s attack will be eager to break.

Spotlight Players
Charleston Battery – Augustine Williams:
The Sierra Leone international leads the Battery with eight goals this season but has scored only once in the past seven appearances, something he’ll be hoping to change against a good Hounds defense.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC – Arturo Ordonez: The Spanish center back has been ever-present during the Hounds’ current four-game shutout streak adding to a stellar campaign in the middle of Pittsburgh’s back line.

Detroit City FC vs. Monterey Bay F.C.

Venue: Keyworth Stadium
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Detroit City FC will try to build on an important midweek victory when it plays host to Monterey Bay F.C., with the visitors looking to rebound and maintain their place in the top eight in the Western Conference. DCFC (5-11-5, 20pts) broke a six-game winless streak on Wednesday night as Ben Morris scored an early goal to key a 2-0 victory against Louisville City FC at Keyworth Stadium, the first victory for Le Rouge against the defending Eastern Conference title holders in the club’s history. The win moved Detroit within a point of eighth-placed Indy Eleven in the Eastern standings, with the potential the side could move into the playoff positions by the end of the night in a tight postseason race. Monterey Bay (7-7-6, 27pts) will try to maintain their position in the Western Conference’s playoff positions as they head to Michigan for the first time after falling 3-1 at home last Saturday night against NorCal rival Oakland Roots SC. Alex Dixon scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season in the first half at Cardinale Stadium, but the hosts were unable to maintain their momentum as their winless streak reached four games. MBFC and Detroit played to a scoreless draw when they first met a season ago, but with only two points separating the visitors and the teams currently below the playoff line in the Western Conference a victory for Monterey Bay would be a welcome boost as the final third of the season approaches.

Spotlight Players
Detroit City FC – Rhys Williams:
Brought on as a first-half substitute against Louisville, Williams put in a stellar display that included a role in his side’s second goal of the night and could see a return to the starting lineup this time out.

Monterey Bay F.C. – Morey Doner: The right-sided defender has been one of Monterey Bay’s most consistent performers this season and will want to put in a good two-way performance to help his side break out of its current downturn in form.

Louisville City FC vs. Birmingham Legion FC

Venue: Lynn Family Stadium
Kickoff: 8 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Louisville City FC will try to break a two-game losing streak as it plays host to a Birmingham Legion FC side that can pull level on points with its hosts should it pick up all three points in the first meeting between the teams this season. LouCity (8-6-5, 29pts) fell 2-0 to Detroit City FC on Wednesday night as its attacking struggles this season continued to remain in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Louisville has scored only 17 goals in 19 regular season games this season, with Wilson Harris’ four goals the most on the team. Legion FC (8-8-2, 26pts) got back in the win column last time out, meanwhile, as Enzo Martinez’s eighth goal of the season lifted the side past the Tampa Bay Rowdies last Saturday night to provide additional breathing room above the battle for the final two playoff positions below them in the standings. The result also marked the 40th regular season shutout of his career for goalkeeper Matt VanOekel, who could have an important role to play again if Birmingham is to break a three-game undefeated run in the series for LouCity, with the hosts having claimed a 2-1 victory when these sides last met a season ago. Louisville has proven susceptible at home this season, however, falling four times while taking five wins at Lynn Family Stadium in league play, leaving the door open for the visitors to continue their current challenges.

Spotlight Players
Louisville City FC – Rasmus Thellufsen:
The Danish midfielder has recorded 17 chances created and 12 shots so far this season but has yet to record a goal or assist, something he’ll be hoping to change this time out.

Birmingham Legion FC – Matthew Corcoran: The young midfielder put in a smooth performance in midfield against Tampa Bay to add to a positive campaign overall and will be looking for more of the same this time out.

Memphis 901 FC vs. Orange County SC

Venue: AutoZone Park
Kickoff: 8:30 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Memphis 901 FC will look to build on a solid road trip to Northern California last week as it returns home to host an Orange County SC side coming off a good road victory last time out to remain in the playoff race in the Western Conference. 901 FC (8-4-6, 30pts) narrowly missed out on victory last Saturday night in a 1-1 draw against Sacramento Republic FC at Heart Health Park that saw the hosts score a late equalizer, but two drawn results against Sacramento and Oakland stabilized the side after a pair of heavy defeats in their prior two outings. Memphis sits in fourth place in the Eastern Conference going into the weekend, eight points back of leader Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, but has two games in hand on the Hounds that could see it jump up the standings in short order with a clash in Pittsburgh next weekend. Orange County (7-9-4, 25pts) is looking for a fourth road victory of the season as it comes to Memphis for the first time, meanwhile, after a 3-1 victory against Loudoun United FC last Saturday night that saw Milan Iloski score his 30th regular season goal for the club. Marc McNulty also scored his first goal for the club, while Korede Osundina also struck for his third goal of the season, moving the side within two points of the playoff positions after four wins in the past five games overall.

Spotlight Players
Memphis 901 FC – Luiz Fernando:
The Brazilian winger has started each of the past two outings after recovering from injury and will be looking to add to his four goals and two assists this season as Memphis returns home.

Orange County SC – Milan Iloski: The 2022 Championship Golden Boot winner has contributed to 11 of Orange County’s 22 goals so far this season with eight goals and three assists and will be a player Memphis has to keep tabs on.

New Mexico United vs. Sacramento Republic FC

Venue: Isotopes Park
Kickoff: 9 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: New Mexico United will look to add to a four-game undefeated streak after victory last time out as it plays host to Western Conference leader Sacramento Republic FC looking to jump into the playoff positions. New Mexico (7-7-4, 25pts) took a 1-0 victory against Detroit City FC in its last league outing on July 8 at Isotopes Park as Academy product Alex Waggoner scored a late winner for his second goal of the season. United has won three of its past four league outings overall to move within two points of the playoff positions. It returned to action on Wednesday night in an international exhibition against English club Sunderland AFC that saw new acquisition Isaac Zuleta score a late goal in an entertaining 3-2 victory for Sunderland. Republic FC (9-2-8, 35pts) remained in sole possession of first place in the West last Saturday night when Russell Cicerone scored a late equalizer in a 1-1 draw against Memphis 901 FC at Heart Health Park. The goal was Cicerone’s 10th of the season, moving him into a tie for first in the Championship, as the side drew its third consecutive outing. Sacramento claimed a 2-0 victory when the teams last met a season ago when Keko was among the scorers at Heart Health Park, but this encounter should provide a good test for the hosts as they continue their progression under new Head Coach Eric Quill.

Spotlight Players
New Mexico United – Amando Moreno:
The El Salvador international has been lively during United’s current undefeated run and will look to add to his team-leading five goals so far this campaign.

Sacramento Republic FC – Zeiko Lewis: The Bermuda international could return to the starting lineup for the visitors, who continue to have a lengthy injury list that is likely to see Damia Viader and Nick Ross unavailable on Saturday night.

San Antonio FC vs. Miami FC

Venue: Toyota Field
Kickoff: 9 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: San Antonio FC will look to add to a three-game winning streak as it plays host to Miami FC, which enters as the latest side hoping to break the defending Championship title holder’s lengthy home undefeated streak. San Antonio (9-3-7, 34pts) took a 2-1 victory against El Paso Locomotive FC in its most recent outing on July 12 as Rida Zouhir scored both goals to rally the side after it had trailed at halftime. The result leaves SAFC one point behind Sacramento Republic FC for first place in the Western Conference as it looks to extend a home regular season undefeated streak of 24 games that dates back more than a calendar year.  Miami (3-9-8, 17pts) has yet to claim victory on the road this season, meanwhile, and was pegged back once again last Saturday when it conceded in second-half stoppage time in a 1-1 draw against the Charleston Battery to remain four points outside the playoff positions in the Eastern Conference. San Antonio took a 2-0 victory when these teams met a season ago when Mitchell Taintor was among the goalscorers for the visitors at Riccardo Silva Stadium, and with the highest-scoring attack in the league the hosts will be looking for another big performance in front of their home crowd this time out.

Spotlight Players
San Antonio FC – Tani Oluwaseyi:
The Canadian forward has recorded nine goals and five assists this season to lead the team in both categories and will look to add to his totals against a Miami defense that has conceded 18 goals away from home this season.

Miami FC – Paco Craig: The veteran defender has been ever-present this season, recording 102 clearances and 28 interceptions, and will need to be at his best to marshal the back line for the visitors in a challenging contest on the road.

El Paso Locomotive FC vs. Oakland Roots SC

Venue: Southwest University Park
Kickoff: 9:30 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: El Paso Locomotive FC will try to get back into the win column as it plays host to an Oakland Roots SC side coming off a big road victory in its most recent outing as the teams meet for the first time this season. Locomotive FC (9-5-5, 32pts) salvaged a point last Saturday night as Josue Aaron Gomez’s late equalizer resulted in a 1-1 draw against Rio Grande Valley FC at Southwest University Park, but the result extended the side’s current winless streak to five games as it remained five points behind Sacramento Republic FC for top spot in the Western standings. El Paso’s last victory came on June 14 against Las Vegas Lights FC, but the side had positive news this week with midfielders Eric Calvillo and Liam Rose both signing two-year contract extensions to remain with the club through the 2025 season. Roots SC (7-6-6, 27pts) ended its own winless run last Saturday night as Johnny Rodriguez scored twice in a 3-1 victory against NorCal rival Monterey Bay F.C. at Cardinale Stadium in the side’s fourth road win so far this season. The result moved Oakland back above the playoff line in the West, and the visitors will be hoping for a continuation of the recent success they have had against El Paso with Roots SC having claimed two wins and a draw in their last three meetings including a 4-0 victory when the teams last met a season ago.

Spotlight Players
El Paso Locomotive FC – Petar Petrovic:
The Serbian winger made his return to the starting lineup following injury against Rio Grande Valley and has produced dangerous moments this season resulting in three goals and one assist in 10 games overall.

Oakland Roots SC – Bryan Tamacas: The El Salvador international has been a positive two-way performer for Oakland in his first season with the club and could have a good battle with fellow attacking full back Eder Borelli on the flank.

Las Vegas Lights FC vs. Hartford Athletic

Venue: Cashman Field
Kickoff: 10:30 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Las Vegas Lights FC and Hartford Athletic will both look to end winless streaks when the sides meet for the second time with each sitting at the bottom of their respective conferences. Las Vegas (1-9-8, 11pts) is winless in its last seven games, but has shown fight in each of their most recent outings including a dramatic 3-3 draw against Birmingham Legion FC on July 8 that saw Pato Botello Faz score in the third minute of second-half stoppage time. The Mexican forward is set to be absent this weekend, however, after suffering a torn Achilles, but the hosts could see Joshua Dolling make his debut after arriving on loan from New Mexico United this week. Hartford (2-13-4, 10pts) has lost its last six games, meanwhile, after falling 3-2 to FC Tulsa last Saturday despite a valiant effort at ONEOK Field. Elvis Amoh scored his fourth goal of the season for the side in the contest, but the Athletic conceded in second-half stoppage time to see their winless run reach nine games as they look for a first win under new Head Coach Omid Namazi. Hartford took a 3-0 victory when these sides met at Trinity Health Stadium a season ago as former player Ariel Martinez scored twice, and with an 11-point deficit to make up to the playoff positions with 15 games to play in the regular season the visitors will be hoping for a similar display this time around.

Spotlight Players
Las Vegas Lights FC – Preston Tabort Etaka:
The Cameroonian scored his third goal of the season against Birmingham and could challenge Hartford’s back line with his speed, having completed 35 dribbles so far this season.

Hartford Athletic – Juan Pablo Torres: The central midfielder has posted a passing accuracy rate of 87 percent this campaign and will look to link play for his side in a challenging road contest that sees the visitors looking to break out of their disappointing run.

Phoenix Rising FC vs. Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC

Venue: Phoenix Rising Stadium
Kickoff: 10:30 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Phoenix Rising FC will try to rebound back on home turf as it plays host to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, which sits three points ahead of its hosts as it looks to rebound from a serious setback last time out. Phoenix (6-5-7, 25pts) saw a five-game undefeated streak come to an end two weeks ago in a 2-1 defeat against Miami FC at Riccardo Silva Stadium and now sits in eighth place in the Western Conference standings as it returns home. Danny Trejo found the net for the side against Miami, while Panos Armenakas recorded his third assist in the past four games as the Australian continues to fit into the side’s attacking plan since his midseason arrival from Loudoun United FC. The Switchbacks (9-10-1, 28pts) suffered a 5-0 defeat to San Diego Loyal SC last Friday night, meanwhile, a result that ended a two-game winning streak and dropped the side to fifth place in the Western Conference as Romario Williams received an early red card. The Switchbacks’ form on the road has been a concern of late, too, with the side having lost five in a row away from Weidner Field since a victory at the Charleston Battery on April 29. With Phoenix having claimed a 4-0 win when the sides met in Arizona a season ago, the visitors will be looking for a spark that can keep it in contention for a top-four finish this time around.

Spotlight Players
Phoenix Rising FC – Manuel Arteaga:
The Venezuelan forward saw his five-game goalscoring streak come to an end in Miami, but he remains tied for the lead for the Golden Boot with 10 tallies this season as well as three assists.

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC – Jairo Henriquez: The El Salvador international scored the only goal when the Switchbacks defeated Phoenix on its home turf last season and will need to be influential in the final third with Romario Williams absent due to suspension.
