LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Lights FC announced on Thursday the club had acquired forward Joshua Dolling on loan from fellow USL Championship club New Mexico United for the remainder of the 2023 season. Dolling will be available for selection when Las Vegas hosts Hartford Athletic on Saturday night at Cashman Field.
Signed this offseason, Dolling has made 14 appearances for New Mexico so far this season, recording three assists and three shots on target in 609 minutes of action. The 25-year-old recorded all three of his assists in New Mexico’s 3-1 victory against Orange County SC on April 29, becoming the first player in the club’s history to record a three-assist game.
Dolling had previously recorded nine goals and three assists for St. Louis CITY SC 2 in the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro campaign, helping the side claim the Western Conference title. A native of England, Dolling starred at Missouri State University before joining the professional ranks, where he was voted a three-time United Soccer Coaches All-America selection, including First Team honors in his senior campaign. He also received All-Missouri Valley Conference honors four times as he recorded 26 goals and 16 assists in 82 appearances for the program.
