Full stretch stops and one-on-one denials highlight the past week’s action, who gets your vote?

The USL Championship passed 1,000 saves this regular season over the past weekend, and the action provided plenty more top-shelf stops that included full-stretch denials and some impressive one-on-one stops. Here are the saves we’ve selected as nominees for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week, and it’s up to you to vote for the winner here on the web, on the league social media feeds, and in the USL App.

Voting runs through Friday, July 7 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 17

Benny Diaz (ELP) - #ELPvNM, 7/1/23: Diaz made an last-gasp diving stop to turn a dipping long-range shot by New Mexico United’s Daniel Bruce onto the left post and away to safety in the Derby del Camino Real at Southwest University Park.

Christian Herrera (COS) - #COSvMIA, 7/1/23: The Championship’s leader in saves pulled out another beauty as he went at full stretch to keep out an excellent free kick by Miami FC’s Gabriel Cabral as part of a four-save shutout at Weidner Field.

Tyler Deric (RGV) - #SACvRGV, 7/1/23: Deric had to be alert to make a scrambling one-handed save as he tipped a looping effort by Sacramento Republic FC’s Damia Viader just over the crossbar in a five-save performance at Heart Health Park.

Drew Romig (MEM) - #PHXvMEM, 7/1/23: Romig had a long night at the office against Phoenix Rising FC, but came up with some impressive saves including this one-on-one denial of Danny Trejo on a breakaway at Phoenix Rising Stadium.
