Loudoun United FC will try to rebound as they return to home turf on Monday night for a clash with Hartford Athletic, for whom new Head Coach Omid Namazi is set to take the helm for the first time for Eastern Conference’s last-placed side.

Here's a look ahead at the action.

Loudoun United FC vs. Hartford Athletic

Venue: Segra Field
Kickoff: 7 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+

The Lowdown: Loudoun United FC and Hartford Athletic will each try to end three-game losing streaks as they square off for the second time this season. Loudoun (5-12-1, 16pts) suffered its league-high 12th loss of the season on Friday night as it fell 3-0 against the Charleston Battery at Patriots Point. After going behind in just the ninth minute, United was reduced to 10 men late in the first half when Jace Clark was sent off for denial of a goalscoring opportunity, and while the side opened the second half brightly the Battery pulled away for victory in the final half-hour. Loudoun has now allowed 33 goals this season while recording only two shutouts, only one fewer than Hartford, which enters off a 2-0 defeat to Indy Eleven on June 24 that marked the final game in charge for former Head Coach Tab Ramos. His assistant, Namazi, takes the helm here hoping his side can emulate its 2-0 victory against Loudoun when the sides met in May behind goals from Juan Pablo Torres and Elvis Amoh. The Athletic are on a six-game winless streak overall, however, and need a win to try and breath life into their playoff chances.

Spotlight Players
Loudoun United FC – Jackson Hopkins:
The 19-year-old forward led all players with three shots when these side met in May, and he has notched two goals and one assist so far this season on loan from D.C. United.

Hartford Athletic – Elvis Amoh: The powerful center forward has notched three goals in an up-and-down season but will be hoping to get back on track against the side he most recently found the net on May 20.
