Acrobatic denials, point-blanks stops, and a crucial penalty save featured this week, who gets your vote?

From acrobatic denials to brave close-range stop and a penalty save that helped tilt the direction of a contest, goalkeepers across the USL Championship shone in an exceptional week for saves as the regular season reached its midway point. Here are the saves we’ve selected as nominees for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week, and it’s up to you to vote for the winner here on the web, on the league social media feeds, and in the USL App.

Voting runs through Friday, June 30 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 16

Dane Jacomen (LDN) - #BHMvLDN, 6/21/23: Jacomen got down brilliantly to make a one-handed save by his right post on a header by Birmingham Legion FC’s Diba Nwegbo at Protective Stadium.

Yannik Oettl (IND) - #HFDvIND, 6/24/23: The German shot-stopper produced another impressive performance with a three-save shutout against Hartford Athletic that was highlighted by this point-blank denial of Andre Lewis.

Colin Shutler (OC) - #DETvOC, 6/24/23: Shutler recorded a six-save shutout in Orange County’s second consecutive road victory with his one-handed stop of a curling effort by Detroit City FC’s Ben Morris the pick of the bunch.

Antony Siaha (MB) - #MBvMIA, 6/24/23: Selected to the Championship Team of the Week, Siaha’s penalty kick save on Miami FC’s Kyle Murphy proved pivotal as the hosts immediately counterattacked to score the only goal of the game, earning a fourth consecutive win for MBFC.
