German striker was ASUN Conference Player of the Year

FLINT, Mich. — The Flint City Bucks have re-signed Lipscomb University senior Jelldrik Dallmann for the upcoming USL League Two season, pending league and federation approval.

“I can’t wait to come back to Flint to see all of my friends from last season,” Dallmann said. “I am super excited to play at Atwood Stadium and in front of the amazing fans again.”

The German striker scored 12 goals for the Bucks last summer, his first USL2 season — enough to cement his fan-favorite status and push Flint City to the Central Conference championship.

“Last season, he was the difference in some tight matches and was inches away from the tying goal in the national semifinal,” said Bucks head coach Andy Wagstaff. “This is a big signing for us and I am over the moon to have the chance to coach Jelldrik again this summer.”

This past fall, Dallmann kept up the prolific scoring pace to help Lipscomb win the ASUN title. He scored a conference-leading 11 goals in just 940 regular-season minutes.

“Jelldrik is simply a ‘fox in the box,’ which means he is instinctual in front of goal,” Wagstaff said. “He is one of the most prolific goal-scorers in the country and one of the biggest personalities in the locker room. When given half a chance, he is an assassin and will punish teams.”

Dallmann was named ASUN Player of the Year, was one of just two unanimous picks to the all-conference first team, and earned an Atlantic regional first team selection.

His scoring total was good for a top-20 mark in the NCAA overall. He ranked among the top 15 in goals per game. He had three game-winners, tied for first on his squad and second in the ASUN. He averaged more than three shots per game, with over half going on frame.
