MIAMI – Miami FC announced multiple roster moves on Wednesday, including that the club had re-signed 2022 USL Championship All-League selection Paco Craig to a multi-year contract extension ahead of the 2023 campaign.

Craig is joined by 12 additional players from the past season’s squad that advanced to the USL Championship Playoffs for a second consecutive year, with the club having exercised its contract option on El Salvador international Joaquin Rivas to retain the veteran forward for the upcoming campaign.

Additionally, goalkeepers Jake McGuire and Noah Abrams, defenders Aedan Stanley, Callum Chapman-Page and Mark Segbers, midfielders Bolu Akinyode, Dennis Dowouna and Florian Valot, and forwards Christian Sorto, Claudio Repetto and Kyle Murphy return after having previously been under contract for the 2023 season.

Craig’s selection to the Championship All-League Team was the fifth of his career overall, and second consecutive since joining Miami prior to the 2021 USL Championship season. The 30-year-old has made 60 appearances across the regular season and playoffs for Miami, recording four goals and three assists across 5,183 minutes of action.

Overall, the veteran has made 170 career appearances in the USL Championship’s regular season and playoffs, and twice claimed the USL Championship title with Louisville City FC in 2017 and 2018. Since the start of the 2017 campaign, Craig ranks fifth in the Championship with 630 regular-season clearances and tied for fifth with 252 interceptions while posting a duel success rate of 62.9 percent and an aerial duels success rate of 66.2 percent.
