How to enjoy the 2022 FIFA World Cup with clubs around the USL Championship

Indoor and outdoor watch parties set to feature giveaways from clubs, league partner Hisense

The 2022 FIFA World Cup kicks off on Sunday, and clubs across the USL Championship are teaming up with local and national partners and chapters of American Outlaws to host watch parties for fans throughout the event.

Here’s a list of the clubs that have announced public events – including the group games for the United States and Mexico – during the tournament, with links to find out more details on how to join in.

Birmingham Legion FC – Birmingham Legion FC will join the Birmingham chapter of the American Outlaws for United States Men’s National Team watch parties at Good People Brewing Company – the brewery at which the club was founded – during the group stage of the World Cup, with a 65-inch Hisense television up for grabs during the United States vs. England game. Charleston Battery - The Battery have teamed up with local establishments My Father's Mustache, Baker & Brewer, and Home Team BBQ as hosts for their World Cup watch parties, and two fans will win Hisense 65-inch televisions on a drawing on December 1. Get all the details here.

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC – The American Outlaws chapter of Colorado Springs is set to host watch parties for all three group stage games for the United States at Jack Quinn’s Pub, and the Switchbacks will be there in support of all three events. Here’s where to find more information.

Detroit City FC – Le Rouge will welcome fans onto the turf at Detroit City Fieldhouse and watch the United States vs. England clash on the venue’s big screen, part of a series of events that will benefit Freedom House Detroit. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. ET and the matches leading up to it will be played in the City Clubhouse bar. You can RSVP here.

El Paso Locomotive FC – Locomotive FC will host watch parties for multiple games across the tournament at local venues, including The District, The Union Draft House, and Cabo Joe’s. Get the full schedule and details here.

Hartford Athletic – 2nd Bridge Brewing is the place to be for the United States’ final group stage game on November 29 against Iran as Hartford Athletic hosts a watch party that will also feature a giveaway of two 65-inch Hisense televisions. Get more details here.

Indy Eleven – The Boys in Blue have teamed up with local partner Ale Emporium’s to host watch parties for each of the United States’ group games at its two local venues, and the club will join Radio Latina’s watch parties for Mexico’s group games, with fans able to enter to win season tickets for the 2023 Championship season and a Hisense television during the tournament. Las Vegas Lights FC – Las Vegas Lights FC, El Dorado Cantina and Hisense USA have partnered to stage multiple watch parties for local soccer fans, the first of which which will feature a prize giveaway of a new 65-inch Hisense television during the contest between the United States and England on “Black Friday” (Friday, November 25th). Here’s what you need to know.

Louisville City FC – LouCity has announced watch party venues for the United States’ opening game of the tournament against Wales (The Manhattan Project, Nov. 21), with plans for the side’s games against England and Iran also set to be announced. RSVP for the opening game here.

New Mexico United – As in 2018 after the official launch of the club, New Mexico United has teamed up with the City of Albuquerque to host watch parties at Civic Plaza throughout the tournament. United has also teamed up with Sandia Resort & Casino for a watch party for the United States vs. England game on Nov. 25 at the venue’s new sports bar, where two Hisense televisions will be given away. Oakland Roots SC – Roots SC is set to host watch parties for the Quarterfinals on December 10 at Plank, and for the Final on December 18 at Line 51 Brewing, both located near Jack London Square on the waterfront in the city. Both events will benefit Soccer Without Borders Oakland and serve as part of Oakland Roots Holiday Toy Drive. Get more details here.

Orange County SC – Orange County is headed to some of its notable breweries – and home venue Championship Soccer Stadium – for watch parties throughout the group stage, including The Dog Pawrk Brewing, Biergarten at Old World HB and Left Coast Brewing. Get all the details here.

Phoenix Rising FC – Rising FC will host watch parties at three Valley Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers locations, Four Peaks in Tempe, and Native Grill & Wings in Laveen, during the Group Stage of the World Cup, including all three group games for the United States and Mexico, and the clash between Spain and Germany on November 27. Phoenix Head Coach Juan Guerra will be a special guest at El Tri’s opening game against Poland on November 22 at Four Peaks, offering his insights after the game. Get all the details here

Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC – The Hounds have teamed up with local organization Open Field – whose sport-based programming creates a safe space for youth to play and learn – to host a watch party at Highmark Stadium for the United States vs. England game. Registration is required, but in addition to the game the club will host a raffle featuring multiple prizes with proceeds benefiting Open Field’s programs. Make sure to register here.

Sacramento Republic FC – Republic FC fans can watch matches for free at any of six regional Mimosa House locations, as well as Public House and Iron Horse Tavern in Midtown Sacramento. As a bonus, attendees can scan a QR code at their table at any venue to have the chance to win a new Hisense TV, in addition to 2023 Republic FC season tickets, gift cards, and more. San Diego Loyal SC – SD Loyal fans might get the most unique watch parties of the tournament at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, San Diego Symphony’s public bayfront park and event venue. It will host watch parties for the United States vs. England game on November 25, and then Mexico vs. Argentina on November 26. RSVP for both games here.

Tampa Bay Rowdies – The City of St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg chapter of American Outlaws are set to host watch outdoor watch parties at Williams Park for all three of the United States’ group games, with the Rowdies hosting youth soccer clinics as part of the festivities. FC Tulsa – The club has partnered with the USL Championship and Hisense to give away a 65-inch 4K Hisense TV during two USA World Cup Watch Parties at Empire Bar, with events scheduled for the United States’ group games against Wales (Nov. 21) and Iran (Nov. 29). Get all the details here.
