TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship announced on Thursday the five nominees for the USL Championship Player of the Month award Presented by Konami eFootball for September, honoring five of the top performers throughout the past month of the 2022 season as they take their place on the ballot.
Voting for the Championship Player of the Month Award will be conducted by the following three voting bodies:
The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, October 13.
Please note: The USL Championship Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as USL Championship Most Valuable Player or position players of the year.
GK Tyler Deric (RGV) - Posted three clean sheets and 11 saves in four matches, conceding just once in a 4-0-0 month as the Toros moved up the table.
GK Jordan Farr (SA) - Posted four clean sheets and 13 saves in five matches, conceding just once in a 4-0-1 month for San Antonio. Farr posted a goals-minus-expected goals mark of -2.06 in the month.
M Christian Pinzon (RGV) - Tallied three goals and one assist in 4-0-0 month, created a total of eight chances for his team and logged a +2.29 Goals Added mark, good for third-highest in the league across the month.
M Sam Gleadle (MB) - Scored four goals and assisted three more across six matches as Monterey Bay posted a 3-1-2 record.
F Phillip Goodrum (MEM) - Scored five goals, including a hat trick against Atlanta, and added an assist as Memphis posted a 3-0-1 record, with his all-around performances earning a league-best +2.64 Goals Added mark during the month.
