USL CHAMPIONSHIP FANS’ CHOICE SAVE OF THE WEEK – WEEK 28

Ben Lundt (PHX) - #SDvPHX, 9/17/22 – After Phoenix Rising conceded a penalty, the German guessed correctly on the attempt, diving left to stop the shot. Lundt blocked the follow-up attempt from Kyle Vassell and deflected it out of play.

Patrick Rakovsky (OC) - #SACvOC, 9/18/22 – Facing a dangerous Rodrigo Lopez free kick from the top of the box, the German-born keeper dives left and stops what would’ve been a sure fourth goal from Sacramento Republic.

Danny Vitiello (SAC) - #SACvOC, 9/18/22 – The second save nominated from this match comes from Sacramento’s end, where Vitiello dives to halt a near-post curler to preserve his sixth clean sheet of the season.

Eric Lopez (LA) - #LAvELP, 9/18/22 – What would’ve been a wonder strike to ice the match in El Paso Locomotive’s favor was cut short by the California-born Lopez. He leapt up to push it over the bar and cut out the chance, keeping the deficit at two.

Paul Blanchette (OAK) - #OAKvNY, 9/17/22 – In the 83rd minute, a shot came flying from the top of the box at Blanchette, who quickly jumped and pushed it over the bar. The save would preserve the clean sheet and 1-0 win for the Roots.
