Independent Review Panel overturns red card for Las Vegas Lights FC’s Alex Lara

Red card for denial of goalscoring opportunity rescinded, available for game against Tampa Bay

TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship announced on Tuesday the red card issued to Las Vegas Lights FC defender Alex Lara on Saturday night during the club’s contest against Rio Grande Valley FC for denial of a goalscoring opportunity had been overturned by the Independent Review Panel.

The decision, and the rescindment of the one-game suspension that accompanied it, will allow Lara to be available for selection when Las Vegas visits the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium on Saturday night.
