Lights FC signs Christopher Jaime to first professional contract

LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Lights FC announced on Thursday the club had signed midfielder Christopher Jaime to his first professional contract through the end of the 2022 USL Championship season. The 18-year-old had previously competed for Lights FC as a USL Academy signings over the past two seasons.

Jaime has recorded one goal, one assist and 20 chances created in 34 appearances for Lights FC, logging 1,147 minutes of action since making his debut against Orange County SC on June 19, 2021. The California native opened his scoring account last season against Sacramento Republic FC in his second start for the club.

This season, Jaime has made 18 appearances, completing 191 of 243 passes while making 35 recoveries while winning 35 of 83 duels. Lights FC currently sits in sixth position in the Championship’s Western Conference as it vies for its first trip to the USL Championships Playoffs in October. The club will next be in action on Saturday night as it plays host to Rio Grande Valley FC at Cashman Field.
