USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month - July

Some top Championship players grabbed the national spotlight last month, which gets your vote?

The past month of action in the USL Championship saw more than 200 goals find the back of the net, including an array of finishes that grabbed the spotlight on ESPN’s Futbol Americas as well as proving pivotal to on-field success. Now, the four winners of the Championship’s Goal of the Week awards and one Wild Card selection are in the running for the Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month. Cast your vote to decide which outstanding finish will take home the award.

Voting runs through Monday, August 8 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month – July

Hadji Barry (COS) - #COSvSAC, 7/1/22: The 2021 Championship MVP picked out the top-right corner of the net from 20 yards with a beautifully struck finish that landed at No. 5 on Futbol Americas’ Weekend 10 Top after a big win at Weidner Field.

Luis Felipe Fernandes (SAC) - #SACvOAK, 7/9/22: Fernandes delivered a thrilling stoppage-time equalizer after Rodrigo Lopez cut past his marker in the right corner and delivered a picture-perfect cross to the top of the six-yard area, earning the New York native the No. 6 spot on Futbol Americas’ Weekend Top 10.

Brian Ownby (LOU) - #MEMvLOU, 7/16/22: Celebrating his 32nd birthday, the July Player of the Month nominee scored twice for LouCity in its 2-1 victory against Memphis 901 FC including a brilliantly inventive backward header that looped over the goalkeeper and into the left corner of the net.

AJ Paterson (CHS) – #COSvCHS, 7/22/22: The Grenada international produced a stunning strike from 25 yards that rattled off the underside of the crossbar and in off a free kick in second-half stoppage time, earning the Battery a draw in Colorado Springs and the No. 8 spot on Futbol Americas’ Weekend Top 10.

Aodhan Quinn (PHX) – #PHXvCOS, 7/29/22: The Championship legend produced another memorable finish with an Olimpico from the right corner that sailed perfectly into the left corner of the net against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, taking the No. 8 spot on Futbol Americas’ Weekend Top 10.
