Five players shone brightly over the past month of the 2022 season, which gets your vote?

TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship announced on Thursday the five nominees for the USL Championship Player of the Month award Presented by Konami eFootball for June, honoring five of the top performers throughout the past month of the 2022 season as they take their place on the ballot.

Voting in the Championship Player of the Month Award will be conducted by the following three voting bodies:

  • A fan vote on USLChampionship.com will comprise 51 percent of the poll. The fan vote will run through Monday, July 11 at 12 p.m. ET.

  • The USL Technical Committee’s ballots comprise 25 percent of the poll.

  • The USL National Media Panel’s ballots comprise 24 percent of the poll.

The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, July 14.

Please note: The USL Championship Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as USL Championship Most Valuable Player or position players of the year.

USL Championship Player of the Month – June 2022

Augustine Williams, Charleston Battery – The Sierra Leone international recorded five goals and one assist across five appearances while also notching five chances created and a Goals Added rating of +0.83.

Preston Judd, LA Galaxy II – Judd recorded five goals in four appearances for Los Dos, including scoring his second career hat trick in the Championship, and averaged a goal every 66.8 minutes while posting a Goals Added rating of +1.87.

Alejandro Guido, San Diego Loyal SC – The San Diego native recorded three goals and three assists in five appearances, notching six shots on target and eight chances created for a Goals Added rating of +1.42 as SD Loyal remained in third place in the Western Conference.

Leo Fernandes, Tampa Bay Rowdies – Fernandes scored five goals in five appearances during an undefeated month for the Rowdies and recorded eight chances created and 10 shots on target to post a +2.08 Goals Added mark for the month.

Manuel Arteaga, Indy Eleven – The Venezuelan forward recorded five goals in four appearances for the Boys in Blue, averaging a goal every 72 minutes while finishing tied for the most shots on target (11) in the league for the month and posting a +1.18 Goals Added mark.
