USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Month - May

The league’s shot-stoppers lit up the highlight reel over the past month, which gets your vote?

This past month in the USL Championship saw El Paso Locomotive FC’s Evan Newton become the first goalkeeper to record 500 saves in the league’s history, and other notable landmarks and brilliant saves that lit up the league’s action across the country. Now, the four winners of the Championship’s Save of the Week awards and one Wild Card selection are now in the running for the Fans’ Choice Save of the Month. Cast your vote to decide which outstanding denial will take home the award.

Voting runs through Monday, June 6 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Month – May

Drew Romig (MEM) - #CHSvMEM, 5/6/22: Romig preserved a road shutout for the visitors with a tremendous late save, diving to his right to parry away a volley by the Charleston Battery’s Geobel Perez at Patriots Point.

Alex Tambakis (NM) - #CHSvNM, 5/14/22: The Greek shot-stopper shifted quickly across his net to tip over a header by the Charleston Battery’s Aidan Apodaca as part of a three-save shutout against one of Tambakis’ former clubs.

Joe Rice (LDN) - #LDNvMEM, 5/22/22: Rice held his ground as Memphis 901 FC’s Phillip Goodrum broke forward for a one-on-one opportunity and made a brilliant one-handed save to turn his effort over the crossbar at Segra Field.

Joe Kuzminsky (CHS) - #LDNvCHS, 5/28/22: Kuzminsky made an impressive diving save to turn a low shot to the left corner of the net by Loudoun United FC’s Jacob Greene wide of the upright at Segra Field.

Colin Miller (RGV) - #MBvRGV, 5/14/22: Miller showed off his reflexes and shifted his balance quickly to claw away a close-range header by Monterey Bay F.C.’s Christian Volesky to help the Toros take victory on the road at Cardinale Stadium.
