USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month - May

The past month saw a wide selection of goals take center stage, which gets your vote?

An action-packed month of May in the USL Championship produced more than 160 goals across the league, with 17 outstanding tallies from the Championship, League One, League Two and W League being featured on ESPN Plus’ Futbol Americas throughout the month. You can find three of them among the four winners of the Championship’s Goal of the Week awards and one Wild Card selection which are now in the running for the Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month. Cast your vote to decide which stunning strike will take home the award.

Voting runs through Monday, June 6 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month – May

Greg Hurst (PHX) - #PHXvSA, 5/7/22: The Scottish forward controlled a lifted pass from Baboucarr Njie on his chest with his back to goal and produced an outstanding turning volley to the top-right corner of the net, landing at No. 2 in the Futbol Americas Weekend Countdown.

Illia Tyrkus (NY) - #HFDvNY, 5/14/22: The 16-year-old Academy product delivered a spectacular finish for his first in the professional ranks, controlling at the top-right edge of the penalty area and firing home to the far corner at Trinity Health Stadium for the visitors.

Lucky Mkosana (TBR) - #TBRvPIT, 5/21/22: The Zimbabwean veteran put an exclamation point on the Rowdies’ victory against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, controlling well and holding off a defender before powering home a finish from 16 yards out at Al Lang Stadium.

Chase Boone (MB) - #MBvCOS, 5/28/22: Boone chased down a throw-in by Grant Robinson on the left before it crossed the goal line, cutting past a defender as he controlled, and then slotted home from an acute angle into the far corner to land at No. 7 on Futbol Americas’ Weekend Countdown.

Walmer Martinez (MB) - #MBvLV, 5/7/22: Standout local product Walmer Martinez delivered a brilliant goal as the first for Monterey Bay F.C. at Cardinale Stadium with a left-footed blast to the top-right corner of the net from 25 yards, grabbing the No. 7 slot on Futbol Americas’ Weekend Countdown.
