Week 11 of the 2022 USL Championship season wraps up on Sunday afternoon as one of the hotter teams in the league in Memphis 901 FC makes the trip to face Loudoun United FC in the lone game of the day.

Here’s a look ahead to the action.

The Lowdown: Memphis 901 FC will try to build on its biggest win of the 2022 season as it heads to face a Loudoun United FC side in need of a change of fortune after a prolonged losing streak. 901 FC took a 5-0 victory against the LA Galaxy II on Wednesday night at AutoZone Park as the side equaled its biggest victory in club history. Jeremy Kelly, Phillip Goodrum and Laurent Kissiedou each recorded a goal and assist as Memphis matched its 5-0 win against the Philadelphia Union II on September 28, 2019. Kelly’s assist was his fifth of the season to move him into the league lead, with the former Colorado Rapids midfielder having recorded 15 chances created so far this season. While Memphis has won five of its last six games to start the weekend two points out of the Eastern Conference lead, Loudoun has lost seven consecutive outings after a 4-2 defeat against Detroit City FC last Saturday at Keyworth Stadium. United got second-half goals by Skage Simonsen and Grant Lillard but were unable to overcome a four-goal deficit despite positive signs in the attacking end. Memphis will be making its first trip to Virginia since 2019, when it took a 2-1 win thanks to a late winner by Brandon Allen and will be hoping for the same result this time around as it continues to drive up the Eastern Conference standings.

Spotlight Players
Loudoun United FC – Michael Gamble:
The veteran midfielder had a solid overall outing against Detroit, completing 56 of 65 passes and recording two chances created. He could be key to breaking down a solid Memphis back line.

Memphis 901 FC – Laurent Kissiedou: The Cote d’Ivoire midfielder has recorded three goals and four assists while notching 16 chances created overall and has been a central piece to 901 FC’s attacking success so far this campaign.
