Week 7 of the 2022 USL Championship season wraps up on Sunday evening with a pair of games that include a nationally televised interconference contest between Indy Eleven and defending title-holder Orange County SC that serves as the first meeting between the two sides.

Here’s a look ahead to both contests.

Loudoun United FC vs. Birmingham Legion FC

Venue: Segra Field
Kickoff: 4 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN+
538.com Predictor: LDN 24%, BHM 51%, Draw 26%

The Lowdown: Birmingham Legion FC heads to face Loudoun United FC with both teams looking to rebound from defeats in their most recent league outings. Legion FC has been held scoreless in each of its past two outings in all competitions, being held out in a 1-0 defeat against Detroit City FC on April 15 before being eliminated from the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup this past Tuesday after a 2-0 loss to USL League One side South Georgia Tormenta FC. Birmingham outshot Tormenta FC 20-7 in their encounter, but Legion FC was unable to create much in the way of clear-cut opportunities, something they’ll be aiming to chance this time around. Loudoun, meanwhile, fell 4-1 to Oakland Roots SC last Saturday night as the side’s suffered a third consecutive defeat after a bright start to the season. United will need to find more attacking edge in the final third against Birmingham, with its goal against Oakland having broken a three-game scoreless run of games.

Spotlight Players
Loudoun United FC – Tyler Freeman:
The young forward has notched a pair of goals this season and will need to start firing again if the side is to break out of its recent downturn in form.

Birmingham Legion FC – Jonny Dean: Dean has recorded nine chances created so far this season without an assist, but his ability to deliver opportunities remains key for Legion FC as they look for their first road points of the season.

Indy Eleven vs. Orange County SC

Venue: Michael A. Carroll Stadium
Kickoff: 5:30 p.m. ET
Broadcast: ESPN Deportes / ESPN+
538.com Predictor: IND 29%, OC 42%, Draw 29%

The Lowdown: Indy Eleven will try to make it three wins in a row as it plays host to Orange County SC, its second visit from a California-based club this season. Indy claimed a late 2-1 victory against Atlanta United 2 last Saturday night as Aris Briggs scored in the third minute of second-half stoppage time and Nicky Law recorded a goal and assist. The Boys in Blue began to ramp up their attacking creativity with their 3.48xG mark for the game almost doubling its season total after cumulatively recording a 3.96xG mark over its first five games. The hosts will look to build on that against an Orange County side that earned a 1-1 draw with Sacramento Republic FC last Saturday as Erick “Cubo” Torres scored his first goal for the club but was then defeated 5-1 by Los Angeles FC in the U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday night as Torres’ second-half goal proved only a consolation. The former Mexico international coming into form is a positive sign for OCSC overall, however, with the side having scored only five times in five regular season games to start this season.

Spotlight Players
Indy Eleven – Bryam Rebellon:
The Colombian has been a solid presence at right back this season for Indy, winning 12 tackles and recording seven interceptions to help limit opposing attacks.

Orange County SC – Mikko Kuningas: The Finn has yet to record a goal or assist this season despite having seven chances created and four shots. A breakout game would be very welcome for the visitors.
