The USL Championship’s goalkeepers recorded more than 200 saves and 23 shutouts in the opening month of the 2022 campaign, among them highlight-reel stops that brought fans to their feet and left opponents shaking their heads in disbelief. Vicente Reyes (ATL) - #LOUvATL, 3/12/22: The 18-year-old Academy product produced an outstanding reflex save to palm away a first-time finish by LouCity midfielder Corben Bone at Lynn Family Stadium.
Rafael Diaz (MB) - #COSvMB, 3/19/22: The Dominican Republic international made an excellent low save to his left to keep out a shot by Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC’s Hadji Barry on the road at Weidner Field.
Jake McGuire (MIA) - #MIAvLDN, 3/26/22: McGuire recorded his first shutout in Miami’s colors against Loudoun United FC in a performance that featured this one-handed save to keep out Houssou Landry at Riccardo Silva Stadium.
Nathan Steinwascher (DET) - #SAvDET, 3/12/22: Steinwascher marked his USL Championship debut with a stellar five-save performance, including a first-half penalty kick denial of San Antonio FC’s PC on a shot to the left corner.
Elliot Panicco (IND) - #LDNvIND, 3/12/22: Panicco marked his debut for Indy with an excellent save on a penalty kick by Loudoun United FC’s Jackson Hopkins that was directed low to the left corner of the net.
