Five current players from the USL Championship have been named in Trinidad and Tobago’s squad to face Bolivia this Friday in an international exhibition in Bolivian capital Sucre, with Indy Eleven’s Neveal Hackshaw and Noah Powder and Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC’s Mekeil Williams and Jesse Williams being joined by Atlanta United 2’s Ajani Fortune in the squad.

The contest will be the first for the Soca Warriors since the conclusion of the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup, which saw Powder, Mekeil Williams and Jesse Williams all included in the starting lineup of a 1-1 draw against Guatemala. Hackshaw was also part of the squad for the tournament.

Hackshaw and and Mekeil Williams will all bring experience to the back line for the side, with Williams having made 31 international appearances for his country and Hackshaw having earned 21 caps. A two-time Championship All-League selection, Hackshaw has made 135 regular season appearances in the league over the past six seasons, the last three with the Boys in Blue.

A new arrival at Indy Eleven this offseason, Powder will also be looking to make a mark having made three prior appearances for his country. The 23-year-old signed with the Boys in Blue after most recently competing for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer, having previously won the USL Championship title with Real Monarchs SLC in 2019. Jesse Williams, meanwhile, is set to make his Championship debut this spring after signing with the Hounds this offseason, with the 20-year-old having made three appearances for his country while in Northern Ireland at Coleraine FC.

Fortune rounds out the group as he prepares for the new season with Atlanta United 2 after signing professional terms with the club midway through the 2021 season. The 19-year-old has made 34 appearances in the Championship so far in his career, recording a pair of goals.
