Orange County SC released its full schedule for the 2022 USL Championship regular season which kicks off on Saturday, March 12 and concludes on Saturday, October 15. The club will play 34 matches against teams from both conferences, with half of them taking place at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine.

OCSC will begin the season on the road against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday, March 12 in a 2021 Western Conference Quarterfinals rematch. A week later, OCSC will make their long-awaited home debut as league champions against Rio Grande Valley FC Toros on March 19.  

The home schedule features a three-match homestand in May as well as a run of six of seven matches played at Championship Soccer Stadium from July to mid-August. During that midsummer stretch, OCSC will welcome Championship newcomers Monterey Bay FC before hosting two highly-anticipated matchups against San Diego Loyal SC and Phoenix Rising FC.

In the away portion of the schedule, OCSC will play no more than two consecutive matches outside of Orange County at a time. On Saturday, August 27, OCSC will face the Tampa Bay Rowdies in Downtown St. Petersburg in the rematch of the 2021 USL Championship Final, where OCSC won 3-1 to claim their first league title. OCSC will look to improve their 4-1-1 all-time record against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in a battle between USL original members in late September. 

OCSC rounds out the home schedule with their third meeting with San Diego Loyal SC on Saturday, October 1. A two week Texas roadtrip against El Paso Locomotive FC and San Antonio FC will conclude OCSC’s regular season.

With the Championship reverting back to a traditional conference alignment, OCSC will face Eastern Conference opponents Indy Eleven, Atlanta United FC 2, Louisville City FC, Loudoun United FC, The Miami FC and Memphis 901 FC for the first time in club history.
