MIAMI – The Miami FC announced on Friday the club had re-signed defender Callum Chapman-Page to a new contract, pending league and federation approval.

“Callum is a center back that really caught my eye last year,” said Head Coach Anthony Pulis. “He had a good level of consistency to his performances and does plenty of good things that maybe go unnoticed in that position. From speaking to him, he is a real competitor with a burning desire to win and improve as a player which is exactly the type I want to work with.”

Originally from Nottingham, England, Chapman-Page played in 27 matches last season and recorded a pair of goals. With 2,194 minutes, he was sixth on the team in minutes played, while finishing second in clearances with 68. Chapman-Page re-joined Miami FC ahead of last season after spending 2020 with FC Tulsa.

“There was only one city I wanted to play for and that was the 305,” said Chapman-Page. “This will be my third season playing for Miami FC and I’m excited to be a part of the club’s plans for the future. I am looking forward to entertaining the fans at Ricardo Silva Stadium and hearing the Dade Brigade’s anthems!”

During his time at Tulsa, he appeared in the club’s backline in nine regular season matches during the abbreviated 2020 regular season. His regular season performance earned him a start in the USL Championship Playoffs, as Tulsa faced EL Paso Locomotive in the Western Conference Quarterfinals. Despite losing in penalty kicks, Chapman-Page played 101 minutes and scored his lone goal of the season in that match.

Chapman-Page came to the United States in 2014 to play collegiately at Lubbock Christian University before transferring to Palm Beach Atlantic University two years later. While at PBA, the defender played a crucial role in the team that won the Sunshine State Conference Championship in 2018.

After his collegiate career, Chapman-Page signed with Miami FC in 2019, appearing in 13 matches, while recording two goals and an assist that season.
