PHOENIX – Phoenix Rising FC announced on Tuesday it had exercised contract options on goalkeeper Lalo Delgado, defenders James Musa and Ryan Flood, and midfielders Joey Calistri and Jonathan Levin as the club made its first roster moves of the offseason.

The club also announced defenders Darnell King, Manuel Madrid, Niall Dunn, and midfielders Ivan Gutierrez, Arturo Rodriguez, Aodhan Quinn and Luis Seijas were already under contract for 2022, giving Rising FC 12 rostered players ahead of next season.

“I’m very excited about the players we have returning next season,” said Phoenix Head Coach Rick Schantz. “Continuity and consistency keep the club moving forward towards our goals. Work has already begun to build the most competitive and dynamic roster possible. With this group of returning players and the addition of some key targets in the off season, I’m excited about our potential in 2022.”

The club is in ongoing discussions with several players from the 2021 team and will announce any further transactions.
