Atlanta United 2 Announces Year-End Roster Decisions

Fortune, Matheus, McFadden under contract for 2022, others in discussions to return

ATLANTA – Atlanta United 2 on Monday announced its year-end roster decisions.

Ajani Fortune, Darwin Matheus and Aiden McFadden are under contract for the 2022 season. The club remains in discussions with Matías Benítez, Robbie Mertz, Bradley Kamdem Fewo and Rocco Ríos Novo.

The club declined the contract option on Chris Allan. Abdoulaye Diop, Phillip Goodrum, Alex Garuba and Amadou Macky Diop are out of contract and will not return in 2022. Connor Stanley’s loan ended at the conclusion of the 2021 season, and he will return to his parent club.

Under contract: Ajani Fortune, Darwin Matheus, Aiden McFadden

In discussion: Matías Benítez, Bradley Kamdem Fewo, Robbie Mertz, Rocco Ríos Novo

Options declined: Chris Allan

Out of contract: Abdoulaye Diop, Alex Garuba, Phillip Goodrum, Amadou Macky Diop

Loan ended: Connor Stanley
