PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC plays host to Hartford Athletic on Saturday night at Highmark Stadium with the hosts looking to take victory to remain in with a chance at a second-place finish in the USL Championship’s Atlantic Division against an Athletic side coming off a solid midweek victory. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

@RiverhoundsSC (17-8-6, 57pts) guaranteed itself a top-three finish in the division on Wednesday night as it held on to take a 1-0 victory against Miami FC in the completion of a contest from October 16. The result moved the Hounds within a point of the second-placed Charlotte Independence going to the final game of the season, but Pittsburgh must take victory to have a chance at passing its rivals with the Independence having earned the head-to-head tiebreaker between the two sides this season. The Hounds have been led this season by forward Russell Cicerone, who has notched 16 goals and eight assists, while Alex Dixon has notched nine goals and nine assists, giving him a chance to be the sixth player in league history to record a double-double season in goals and assists in a regular season.

@HFDAthletic (12-15-4, 40pts) moved into fifth place in the Atlantic Division on Tuesday night as it took a 2-0 victory against the Charleston Battery in its home finale at Dillon Stadium. El Salvador international Walmer Martinez scored his first two goals in Hartford colors to lead the side to victory, while Danny Barrera notched his 12th assist of the season on the second goal of the night to move into sole possession of first place in the race for the Assists Champion award going to the final weekend. Barrera’s assist also moved him within one helper of equaling Riverhounds SC’s Kenardo Forbes on 45 regular season assists for his career, currently the most in the Championship’s history. With the postseason long out of reach, the Athletic will look to spoil the Hounds’ plans in their season finale.
