LEESBURG, Va. – Loudoun United FC plays host to Hartford Athletic on Wednesday night at Segra Field looking to build on an impressive victory in its last outing on Sunday afternoon against an Athletic side that joined United in seeing its bid to reach the USL Championship Playoffs come to an end on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

@LoudounUnitedFC (4-19-3, 12pts) rallied for a 3-2 victory against playoff contender Miami FC at Segra Field on Sunday as Ted Ku-DiPietro and Jovanny Bolivar both scored inside the final 15 minutes to rally the hosts to victory. The win snapped a seven-game winless streak for the side as Ku-DiPietro’s strong recent run of form continued as he recorded his seventh goal of the season and also added a second assist this campaign. Loudoun will be without midfielder Darluis Paz on Wednesday night as he serves a one-game suspension for his red card for two cautionable offenses against Miami, but the side will be hopeful of taking its first win against Hartford as the teams begin a home-and-home series that ends on Saturday at Dillon Stadium.

@HFDAthletic (9-14-4, 31pts) saw its postseason hopes come to an end on Sunday afternoon as it fell 4-3 to the Charleston Battery at Patriots Point to be mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. The Athletic rallied late while down to 10 men as both Juan Carlos Obregon Jr. and Kenan Hot found the net in the final 10 minutes, with Hot’s goal marking the young standout’s first in a Hartford uniform since joining the club in midseason, but the visitors were unable to find the win they needed to keep their chances alive. The Athletic will be without midfielder Danny Barrera on Wednesday night after he too was sent off for two cautionable offenses, but the side still possesses plenty of firepower, led by Obregon, who now holds the team lead with nine goals this season. After taking two wins so far against Loudoun this season, the Athletic will be looking to end their four-game winless streak at Segra Field.
