LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville City FC will welcome Sporting Kansas City II to Lynn Family Stadium on Saturday night as the hosts try to build on a big home victory last time out and complete a season sweep of SKC II, which enters having been eliminated from playoff contention on Wednesday night in its most recent outing. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

@LouCityFC (15-5-7, 52pts) earned a 3-1 victory against New Mexico United last Sunday afternoon as a pair of early goals by Paolo DelPiccolo put the side on top before Jimmy McLaughlin added a third in the second half to keep the visitors at arm’s length at Lynn Family Stadium. DelPiccolo has now recorded seven goals overall this season, more than double his best prior campaign in the Championship of three goals for LouCity in 2018. Louisville’s win kept it two points ahead of Birmingham Legion FC for first place in the Central Division with both teams having five games to go in the season, but Saturday marks the penultimate game at home of the regular season for the side as it plays three of its last four outings on the road. LouCity has recorded three wins and 10 goals this season against SKC II with Kyle Greig having scored three times and Brian Ownby notching two goals and four assists previously, and the hosts will be looking for more of the same as they wrap up the season series between the clubs.

@SportingKCII (4-16-8, 20pts) was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention on Wednesday night after a 3-1 defeat to Memphis 901 FC at AutoZone Park. Sporting took the lead in the first half through Enoch Mushagalusa but was unable to maintain its advantage as Mushagalusa had a second tally ruled out for offside. The Congolese winger has been one of the brightest points for SKC II this season with a team-leading eight goals alongside two assists and 26 key passes. Jake Davis has also been solid and recorded his team-leading sixth assist of the season on Wednesday night. Two of Sporting’s victories this season have come away from home, but the side is winless in its last five road outings since a July 10 victory against Atlanta United 2.
