USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Month – September

The penultimate month of the season produced more than 500 saves, which of the best gets your vote?

The playoff races across the USL Championship’s four divisions continued to build throughout September, and the league’s goalkeepers were front and center in recording almost 50 shutouts and more than 500 saves across the month’s action. Now the four winners of the past month’s Save of the Week award have advanced on, and you get to vote for the one that will earn the USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Month award.

Voting will continue through 12 p.m. ET on Monday, October 1.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Month Finalists – September

Sean Lewis (TUL) - #LOUvTUL, 9/3/21: Sean Lewis notched a four-save shutout against Louisville City FC to help his side to victory at Lynn Family Stadium, including this tipped stop over the crossbar on a looping header by Paolo DelPiccolo.

Joe Kuzminsky (CHS) - #CHSvTBR, 9/7/21: Joe Kuzminsky made an excellent one-handed save from close range to deny the Tampa Bay Rowdies’ Juan Tejada, deflecting his shot onto the crossbar before the rebound was also put off the woodwork and behind for a corner kick.

Jeff Dewsnup (SLC) - #NMvSLC, 9/18/21: The 17-year-old added to his growing highlight reel this season with a spectacular low save to his right, keeping out a powerful header by New Mexico United’s Devon Sandoval at Isotopes Park.

Jeff Caldwell (HFD) - #HFDvTBR, 9/25/21: Jeff Caldwell has been hard to beat from the penalty spot this season, and he made his fifth denial to keep out the Tampa Bay Rowdies’ Sebastian Guenzatti on Saturday night at Dillon Stadium.
