The opening weekend of October produced some standout stops, which save gets your vote?

The first weekend in October produced some outstanding action across the USL Championship as the league neared 200 shutouts for the season, with some outstanding penalty kick saves and reflex stops a major part of the weekend’s action. We’ve picked out five of the best for this week’s Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week award, now you get to choose which of them will take the honor.

Voting runs through Friday, October 8 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 24

Andre Rawls (PHX) - #OCvPHX, 10/2/21: Andre Rawls made a pair of spectacular saves to keep out a headed effort by Orange County SC’s Dillon Powers, and then recovered to keep out a rebound chance by Michael Orozco as part of a shutout victory on the road.

Austin Wormell (TUL) - #TULvMEM, 10/2/21: The local standout reacted sharply to parry away a well-struck shot by Memphis 901 FC’s Raul Gonzalez in the second half of Saturday’s contest at ONEOK Field.

Patrick Rakovsky (OC) - #OCvPHX, 10/2/21: The German goalkeeper produced first a brilliant low interception as Phoenix Rising FC’s Solomon Asante tried to go around him inside the penalty area, and then recovered to palm the Ghanaian’s second-effort shot behind.

CJ Cochran (OKC) - #OKCvIND, 9/29/21: CJ Cochran made a good read and punched away a penalty kick to the right corner by Indy Eleven’s Manuel Arteaga that kept OKC’s deficit at one goal before the hosts grabbed a late equalizer by Seyi Adekoya at the other end.

Alex Rando (LV) - #OAKvLV, 10/2/21: First-year pro Alex Rando became the first goalkeeper to 100 saves in the Championship this season and did it in style, denying a penalty kick by Oakland Roots SC’s Quincy Amarikwa to the left side of the net.
