PHOENIX – Phoenix Rising FC will play host to Las Vegas Lights FC on Wednesday night at Wild Horse Pass looking to build on a dramatic late victory over the past weekend that saw the side remain in contention for the best record in the league at the end of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET.

@PHXRisingFC (14-3-6, 47pts) claimed a 4-3 victory on Saturday night against the LA Galaxy II after a late own goal by the hosts at Dignity Health Sports Park lifted Rising FC to victory to conclude a game that saw both sides lead and Phoenix’s Joey Farrell be sent off as the visitors ended the game down to 10 men. Farrell will serve a one-game suspension on Wednesday night as Phoenix welcomes Las Vegas for the second time this season to Wild Horse Pass with Santi Moar looking to add to his add to his tally of a team-leading 11 goals this season having scored in each of the prior two games between the clubs this campaign. Rising FC could again be without forward Solomon Asante, who has missed the past four games with a lower body injury, but in his stead the side has continued to perform well with Aodhan Quinn having recorded a goal and four assists to become the third player in the Championship’s history to reach 35 goals and 35 assists for his regular-season career in the league.

@LVLightsFC (5-17-2, 17pts) heads to Phoenix looking for a spark to turn things around after this past Saturday suffering its eighth consecutive defeat in a 3-0 loss to Orange County SC. A second yellow card early in the second half reduced the visitors to 10 men at Championship Soccer Stadium as they recorded only one shot on goal for the game. If there is any hope for Las Vegas it could be that the last side it earned a result against was Phoenix in a 2-2 draw at Cashman Field on August 7 that saw Roberto Molina record a goal and assist for the side and Traore score the equalizer six minutes from the end in a rousing contest. The side’s defensive struggles – which now see Las Vegas lead the league with 56 goals conceded – have weighed it down since then, however, something that Phoenix – tied for the league-lead with 50 goals – will look to capitalize on.
