USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 21

The Championship’s goalkeepers produced some top stops in the past week, which one gets your vote?

The USL Championship regular season is coming toward the final quarter of the season, but in the past week we saw another collection of exceptional saves from goalkeepers across the league as the race for the playoff continued. We’ve picked out five of the best stops for this week’s Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week award, now you get to choose which of the five saves will take the honor.

Voting runs through Friday, September 10 at 12 p.m. ET.

USL Championship Fans’ Choice Save of the Week – Week 20

Joe Kuzminsky (CHS) - #CHSvTBR, 9/7/21: Joe Kuzminsky made a excellent one-handed save from close range to deny the Tampa Bay Rowdies’ Juan Tejada, deflecting his shot onto the crossbar before the rebound was also put off the woodwork and behind for a corner kick.

Luca Lewis (NY) - #TBRvNY, 9/11/21: Luca Lewis made an outstanding penalty-kick save with a diving low save to his right to keep out the Tampa Bay Rowdies’ Sebastian Guenzatti from the spot at Al Lang Stadium.

Jeff Caldwell (HFD) - #HFDvLOU, 9/7/21: The Championship’s saves leader had to come up with a big stop to keep out a curling shot from 20 yards aimed to the top-right corner of the net by veteran Louisville City FC playmaker Antoine Hoppenot.

Matt Cardone (SA) - #ATXvSA, 9/7/21: The San Antonio native came up with a big save from close range to deny Austin Bold FC’s Omar Ciss as he shot from the right side of the penalty area in the Copa Tejas clash at Bold Stadium.

Elliot Panicco (ATX) - #ATXvNM, 9/10/21: Elliot Panicco recorded his eighth shutout of the season last Friday night with a performance that included an excellent point-blank stop to keep unmarked New Mexico United defender Kalen Ryden from finding the net.
