MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC and Miami FC will meet for the first time in their histories on Saturday night at AutoZone Park as the visitors enter on a seven-game undefeated streak as they pursue a top-two finish in the USL Championship’s Atlantic Division, while Memphis will be looking to build on a dramatic late victory last time out that bolstered its hopes of a first trip to the playoffs. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

@Memphis901FC (6-7-7, 25pts) grabbed a dramatic 3-2 victory against rival Birmingham Legion FC last Saturday night at AutoZone Park as first Roland Lamah and then Raul Gonzalez scored in second-half stoppage time to turn the game on its head for the side, with Gonzalez’s spectacular finish lighting up social media and landing the No. 1 spot on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Saturday night. The victory came late but was a reward for a 901 FC performance that saw the side more than double Birmingham’s total shots for the game and end the night with nine shots on goal, a season high as Memphis notched three goals in a game for the first time this campaign. 901 FC has been led this season by Kyle Murphy with 11 goals, but the side has shown more adventure and options in its last two outings and will be hoping that carries through to another good performance with the side facing a four-point gap to fourth-placed OKC Energy FC in the Central Division standings but with three games in hand as its homestand continues.

@TheMiamiFC (11-6-5, 38pts) extended its season-best seven-game undefeated streak last Saturday night as it rallied from a two-goal deficit to earn a 2-2 draw with the Charlotte Independence at American Legion Memorial Stadium. Haitian international Christiano Francois scored the equalizer with two minutes to go as Miami rallied from a two-goal deficit to earn a result for the third time this season. The draw kept Miami in touch in the Atlantic Division with the second-placed Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, who have a six-point edge currently but have played two more games than Miami as the season nears its final quarter. Miami will be bolstered by the potential return of four players from international duty to the side on Saturday with Jamaica’s Speedy Williams and Lamar Walker, El Salvador’s Josh Perez and Haiti’s Brian Sylvestre all called up over the past two weeks. The presence of Williams in the center of midfield in particular could be a key as Miami looks to keep on its positive run of form away from home.
