PITTSBURGH –Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC returns home to play host to Loudoun United FC on Saturday night at Highmark Stadium with the hosts looking to continue a five-game undefeated streak as it vies for first place in the USL Championship’s Atlantic Division. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

@RiverhoundsSC (13-6-5, 44pts) maintained its recent undefeated run thanks to a late goal by Alex Dixon that earned a 1-1 draw on the road against San Antonio FC, wrapping up a grueling stint of eight games in 30 days for the side. The Hounds dropped down to second place on Tuesday night after Tampa Bay’s victory in Charleston, but still hold a six-point lead on Miami FC for a top-two finish. Dixon has been one of the hotter players in the Championship since the start of August, with four goals and three assists across the past eight games, matching the goal contributions of teammate Russell Cicerone with six goals and one assist over the same span. The Hounds have taken back-to-back victories at Highmark Stadium in their recent run, too, but will be wary of an eighth-placed Loudoun side that claimed one of its three victories this season against Pittsburgh in late June before the Hounds eked out a 1-0 win in its return trip to Segra Field on July 17 in the most recent meeting between the teams.

@LoudounUnitedFC (3-16-2, 11pts) is looking to bounce back from a heavy midweek defeat on Saturday night, however, after suffering a 5-0 loss to the Charlotte Independence on Wednesday night as Houssou Landry was sent off in the first half after receiving two yellow cards in the opening 37 minutes. Loudoun got a solid debut performance in goal by former Northeastern University goalkeeper Noah Abrams, who recorded eight saves to keep the visitors from adding to their sizeable advantage. United has seen positive contributions this season too from midfielders Jeremy Garay and Ted Ku-DiPietro, who will both be players to watch for the visitors in Pittsburgh.
