During the USL Championship match between New Mexico United and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday, September 4, Colorado Springs FC midfielder Michee Ngalina received a red card for forcefully throwing a soccer ball directly toward a ball boy behind the New Mexico goal. The USL subsequently investigated the incident further and has been in contact with both clubs.
As a result of the investigation, Ngalina has been suspended two matches and fined an undisclosed amount in accordance with the league's Major Game Misconduct policy.
